ToneBoosters provides free demo software of all products available for download here. In contrast to many other plug-in vendors, the demos have no time restrictions but saving of settings is disabled when a plug-in is running in demo mode.
Yes, absolutely! Our software installer will install universal binaries that
contain separately optimized code for Intel and Apple silicon processors which will run natively on each platform. No need to use Rosetta 2.

If you have purchased ToneBoosters licenses prior to 2015, European privacy laws prevent us from sharing your license information with 3rd parties. As a result those licenses will not show up in your reseller account. Contact us if you need any support with such licenses. In addition, NFR, demo and transferred licenses will not show up in a reseller account either.
If your download links for v3 plugin key files expired, simply download and install the legacy plugin installer - see our FAQ item about 'Where can I find older (legacy v3) plug-ins' below.
The installer will also install license key files - no need to download those key files from your account.

Please refer to our the end-user license agreement (EULA) for more details.
No bundles per se, but we have bundle prices! We don't want you to feel pressured to purchase more plug-ins than you really need because of a bundle discount.
Hence our prices are always competitive even if you buy a single plug-in.
Absolutely! Most of our plug-ins (but not all) support the latest and greatest developments in spatial audio production technology, such as
Dolby Atmos, Facebook 360, B-format, Ambisonics and alike. Spatial audio (up to 16 channels) is only supported in AU, VST3 and AAX plug-in versions but not in VST2 due to VST2 API limitations. Please refer to our
detailed specification pages and product manuals for more information about spatial audio support for a specific product.
The Windows and macOS versions of the TrackEssentials and BusTools (v3) plug-ins are enjoying their well-deserved retirement after being in service for over a decade and are now made
available as freeware. Use the links below to install these legacy plugins. Please note that these plugins come as VST (and AU) formats only. The freeware offer does not apply to Android in-app versions.
Apple Silicon processors (M1, M2, etc) will require that the host program runs in Intel mode (using Rosetta 2).
Please read the terms and conditions carefully prior to downloading or using these free plugins. Free plugins come without support or warranty.
Yes you can on a desktop computer - with a little help. All plug-ins are provided as stand-alone app to allow processing of audio from an external sound card; this provides a means to run TB plug-ins on a separate computer in your studio.
The stand-alone apps will however not process any audio from a browser, streaming media service, or playback from a host program that does not natively support VST, VST3, AU or AAX plug-ins. In order to process
system-wide audio, use third-party software to run VST or Audio Unit plugins on your computer's system audio bus, such as Equalizer APO for Microsoft Windows or
Soundflower or Blackhole for macOS.
On a desktop computer (Windows / macOS): yes you can. Please see the FAQ item above on 'Can I run TB plug-ins in stand-alone mode?'. On iOS, this is currently not possible due to limitations of the iOS platform, unless
the streaming service app already supports AUv3 plugins.
If you use a Windows host that does not yet support VST3 plugins but does support the older VST plugin format, you may need to configure the VST scan path of your host. Add the following path and
request the host to re-scan all plugins: C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST2\
